Get involved

If you've already signed the pledge, here's what you can do next:

Spread the word

Share the pledge with your friends and colleagues on social media, Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, and Signal. Explain why you decided to sign, and invite them to join you.

Widen the circle

Get coffee

Think of 5 friends and colleagues in tech who might feel similarly. Find a time for a coffee or other relaxed chat with each of them, one-on-one. Ask them how they are feeling in this moment — about the state of the country, about working in tech. Let them know how you're feeling as well. The goal is to find people with your values, to build trust, and to help remove the sense of isolation that leads so many to be silent. For more tips, check out our guide to 1:1s.

Arrange a small get-together

Think of a small group of folks in tech who share your values. Invite to a small gathering IRL or online. The goal is for everyone to get to know each other. Invite each of them to share their feelings and concerns about this political moment, and about working in tech. Help each person recognize the commonality of feeling, and the potential for working together. (We have a 1:1 guide in the works, but in the meantime if you'd like some help please reach out: info@iceout.tech.)
